Please have a look at the current eBay auctions. Thank you!

Today is sunny and very windy. The wind is currently holding steady at 15mph from the west, but is going to get worse this afternoon. The wind advisory's talking about gusts to 50mph. The good news, the wind (and last night's rain) is keeping the asshole house painters at bay. Though I still have to look at the fucking scaffold they put up right outside my office window. The scaffold has been there going on three weeks now; I should take a picture and share with the class. Currently, it's 60˚F here in Providence. Oh, here's an oddity: At 4 a.m. it was 64˚F, which is 2˚F warmer than it was at 4 a.m. on July 4th.

Well, I went to my psychiatrist, and she put me back on Ambien for the insomnia. I was last on Ambien in 2010. And last night I discovered that a 10mg dose of zolpidem wasn't sufficient to put me to sleep and keep me asleep. I got maybe four hours.

I'm trying to finish a story for Ellen Datlow, and in the last two weeks I've only managed only 3,670 usable words, about half the story's projected length. I need to try and make a little progress today, because tomorrow I have another doctor's appointment, and then I have to be at the train station just before 6 p.m. to pick up sovay. She's coming down to give me a hand with the proposal for Interstate Love Song. My agent will be taking the (unwritten) novel to market in January, after the holidays.

Speaking of which, Happy Jethro Tull Season. It came late this year.

If you're wondering about progress on the screenplay for The Red Tree, I had to set it aside in October to focus on other deadlines. Then the insomnia hit early in November. With luck, I'll be returning to the screenplay in January. Josh is a patient dude.

Not much else to say for last night. After dinner and a little Guild Wars 2 (leveling my elementalist, a Norn named Thora Millasdóttir*), we watched thirteen straight episodes of That '70s Show, seasons Three and Four. That's ~4.7 consecutive hours of That '70s Show.

And I think that's all for now. See you tomorrow, kittens.

TTFN,
Aunt Beast
