It's a little warmer today.

No work was done yesterday. There was a tremendous amount of frustration, though, trying to find a story. Today, we do the very last edits on the manuscript for Beneath an Oil-Dark Sea, and then I send it to Subterranean Press. And that will be out of my hands for the time being, and for that I will be grateful (if only

Good luck with the edits and (for the time being) final preparations before submitting it to Mr. Schafer and company (yikes, hope I spelled his name correctly!).

Maybe I'll something of substance to say tomorrow.

Substance, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. I'm cool with knowing it's warmer there, and Beneath an Oil-Dark Sea is closer to publication <--- I am tempted to use a warm little emoticon there, but am thankfully restraining myself from doing so.

Good luck with the story hunt. Hopefully your subconscious will send up something good for you to chew on. (Hmm, now I have a mental image of a greasy short-order cook slapping a plate on the divider sill, yelling "Order's Up!" to the harried waitress out front.)

Have you listened to any of the 'Welcome to Nightvale" podcasts? Alia's been listening to them, and has been getting us to listen to them too. They're 20 minute radio broadcasts with news and items of interest from an isolated town in the desert, where various odd things happen. It takes some time to build, but it's been fun listening to the characters and scenarios develop over time. Each is a free download through iTunes.
