Yesterday, I did 1,226 words on the first chapter of Cherry Bomb, and I'm now about 1/7th of the way through the book. Huzzah.
Last night I watched Key Largo (1948), another of my comfort films. This was the first time I realized that the same actor - Dan Seymour - who played Angel Garcia in Key Largo also played Captain Renard in To Have and Have Not (1944). And now...work.
