film festival

The traverse city film festival is over and i thankfully got to go down there every night minus friday. i watched 5 movies and i will list them in the order from most to least liked

1. broken flowers - amazing film bill murray was really realy good and i just loved everything about it. i dont think the audience cared for this movie to much but alex logan andrew and i all loved it. it was halarious and just an alll around great film. the music writing and acting was all supurb, one of my favorite movies this year.

2. Enron - I never knew anything about the enron scandals so this really realy tought me a lot. for those who dont know anything or just know a little without a doubt WATCH THIS MOVIE. it was halarious shocking and highly entertaining. the stuff that those people got away with was just amazing.

3. Downfall - Extremely powerfull and very very well made. it was about hitlers final days in the bunker and what went on, and how he lost it at the end and germany began its downfall. it wasnt a documentary so it was a really really interesting movie. bruno ganz who played hitler gave one of the best preformances ever, the thing i liked about it is instead of making hitler look like a monster they gave him a human face and showed his despair for the country he loved crumbling into pieces. they actually showed his view on everything and to a man who was completley losing it I could see where it would make sense to "clense the land of the jewish poison" as he said. but i still think the hitler and the holocaust were horrible.

4. The Edukators - a german film about a group of teenagers who break into the homes of the riches and rearange there furniture instead of stealing stuff and left them a note saying there days of plenty were numbered, or You have to much money. i liked the last part of this film but the first part was way to much of fight the man germans are just a bunch of capitalist pigs. and it was really annoying untill midway they kidnapped a rich guy and by spending time with him they discovered they werent doing this to save the world they kidnapped the guy to save there own ass. and than it turned into a much more interesting movie. all around a really good movie but sadly my least favorite of the festival

when we got home last night logan priess said he really wanted to shave his head so alex got all excited and took him into my sink and we actually shaved logan. it looks pretty cool and i think hes happy with the outcome as well. he just said his parents are probibly gonna give him crap about it.

alround the best part of my summer this week just kicked so much ass it was unbelievable.
