Poor little rich boy, all the world is okay
The water runs off your skin and down into the drain
You’re reading Fitzgerald, you’re reading Hemmingway
They’re both super smart and drinking in the cafés
And you don’t love your girlfriend
You don’t love your girlfriend
And you think that you should but she thinks that she’s fat
But she isn’t but you don’t love her anyway
And you don’t love your mother
And you know that you should
And you wish that you would
But you don’t anyway
You’re so young, you’re so goddamn young
You’re so young, you’re so goddamn young
You’re so young, you’re so goddamn young
You’re so goddamn young
You’re so goddamn young
I'd rather spend an entire day in bed reading book after book after book than stand up without knowing why. So why does that make me feel like a loser when in fact, I'm actually doing something that 98% of the people at this college don't ever get to: actual interest in the world around them through history and patterns and libraries and dusty hardcovers. I practically foam at the mouth at the sight of a Fukuyama book.
So fuck 'em. I'll take an entire semester worth of mediocre grades. And then I'll outgrow all of this shit. I prefer the latter to an "A."
Fuck this place.
