Of Amusement

Today I made Soylent Green. It was rather tasty.

As it turns out, I really do have the other DCPOs intimidated, and there is no logical reason why. However, some days ago, I witnessed a demonstration of this power.

See, there was this stick. One fellow placed it up in he rafters where it is normally stowed. Well, I stepped forward for a completely different reason, and the stick fell. It missed me, but the guy quickly grabbed it. When he grabbed it, his hand continued to move up, which brought the stick up, and he hit my chin.

My teeth rattled.

The guy began defending himself, saying it was an accident. The other people in the shop began saying things to him, indicating that he had royally screwed up and I would explode on him or some such. He maintained innocence while I stared at him with my emotionless expression, and he soon crumbled and apologized. I then, being lenient, took the stick from him and moved it under his jaw, where he quickly retreated from me.

Now, it was an accident. I know this, and so I didn't really care. However, the egging from everyone (them proclaiming that I would smack him in revenge at some undetermined time and place) compelled me to act. And so, I looked at the guy and I said, "You can either submit to the stick now, or I surprize you with it. If I surprize you, then I cannot guarantee you won't bite your tongue."

He submitted. So I lightly tapped his chin. And that was that.

Today, in news unrelated to DCPO things, I had two drinks. Both were of a bottled green tea variety, one with the flavour of Apple, and the other with the flavour of Peach. Being tasty, and having drank about half of each, I decided to mix the two and save a bottle. "What a grand idea," thought I, "but what shall I call this mix of Apple and Peach? I know! 'Appeach!' No, that just sounds like 'a peach.' Ooh! I've got it! 'Pea-pple!' ...I have made soylent green."

Is quite tasty, really.

I am currently in an argument with some people on the ship. They stand by the claim that America is a nation. I stand by the fact that America is a continent, and the United States is a nation. Apparently, having this argument puts a smile on my face.

You have to keep yourself amused with the little things. Soylent Green drinks and the American continent.
