Today was happy! I got to see Jacki
zuisa and Kristin for lunch and we went on the ropes course and talked in accents and it was happy!
In other news, I can't decide if I've noticed a difference in my symptoms from my new thyroid meds. The doc said I wouldn't notice any difference (which frankyl really pissed me off and made me sad) because he said my symptoms were signs of HYPO thyroid, as apposed to Graves (which is HYPER thyroid). But the Mayo Clinic online tells me symptoms of Graves can include:
- Anxiety (don't really have)
- Irritability (DEF have)
- Difficulty sleeping (occasionally)
- Fatigue (ALMOST ALWAYS)
- A rapid or irregular heartbeat (sometimes, but that may be due to me being out of shape)
- A fine tremor of your hands or fingers (not that i've noticed, i don't think...)
- An increase in perspiration (not really)
- Sensitivity to heat (yup. and cold too, which is more of a hypo thing)
- Weight loss, despite normal food intake (i wish)
- Brittle hair (YES. AND IT'S FALLING OUT)
- Enlargement of your thyroid gland (goiter) (yup. got that)
Ergo, I think the doc is silly. But the other big symptom for me as how erratic and up and down my moods are. Marie
blaedlocke says that the tyhroid is directly linked to emotional and motivational parts of the brain. Well THAT explains a lot.
Sidenote: I just beat Twilight Princess.
