the next chapter
Well, yesterday was my last day at CLIMB. Working there was a blast. I met some really great people, and some really great connections. I'm thankful for it, it was a lot of fun. A lot of WORK, but a lot of fun. I'm officially working at ValleySCARE now as an actor. It's WAY better than the haunted farm last year (no offense to that by any means, I loved it too and would do it again if I was in Moorhead!). I'm in the one area where we have free reign to do whatever we want, Blood Creek Cemetary. There are 6 total scare mazes/areas in the park, there are shows, AND they're going to have their coasters running. It's really cool! We had our dress rehearsal last night, and basically everyone working there got to go through each others areas. The thing I REALLY appreciate? We get to sit on our butts while people put our make-up on for us. It's so nice! So tonight is opening night, and I'm REALLY excited! Um...what else is new? OH! I booked another show to SM. It's called A Don't Hug Me Christmas Carol, and it's basically the Minnesotan musical spoof of A Christmas Carol. I go in to some of their rehearsals next week to learn everything I need to know (i'll also be operating sound and light cues...hehe, i get to call my own cues!) as well as all the regular SM duties. It runs Nov 3rd-Dec 31st at Hennepin Stages in Minneapolis, 5 shows a week, and it pays WELL. I got another job offer to SM a Christmas show after I had already booked this one that I had to turn down. It feels GREAT to be wanted! So, in a nutshell, that's my life right now! Most everything is going well!
