It's time again for BSG Remix fic recs!
Five Things Cavil Cherished About Killing Shelley Godfrey is an absolutely brutal remix of my
Fidelity. I love how the author wove in all the little memories of Cavil's frakked-up childhood... they make this a sympathetic story about killing and dismembering your sister/mother, which is really quite an achievement! I especially love this because it's not where I would have gone with the story, but it's still 100% in-character.
I'm Not a Princess (The Fairytale Remix) is a fantastic story in which Hera's love for her Uncle Felix changes everything. I absolutely adore this one -- the fairytale story is the perfect framing device, and the Helo/Sharon parts are also brilliant. Plus, it retcons the stupid parts out of the finale; what more could you want?
Truth Itself Becomes Suspicious is a snarky, cynical exploration of Laura Roslin through Playa Palacios' eyes. It's a short fic, but it says so much about Laura, Playa, and especially about the Fleet; the author did a great job with this one.
Just Another Incident in the Alcohol Storage Room is hot Ellen/Boomer femslash. The Ellen POV on this one is perfect... and did I mention that it's smokin' hot? Because it is.
