it would be an interesting creative project, to write myths (in the style of ovid) but about modern notions and confusions.

never mind. that sounds like a bad idea, the sort of bad idea you get when it's the end of the semester and you need a term paper/project for your senior english lit seminar.
maybe it's just spring that makes me think of greek mythology. i know of few stories about winter; maybe odysseus traveled once, through the snows, but only the myth of
persephone comes to mind, otherwise.
i like that myth, though lately it sounds more like the story of a kid with divorced parents. admittedly, that would be a great retelling of that myth !.. i mean, not a literal retelling, but it would be an apt title, much like how the name of a painting may change how you look at it.
lately i've felt like writing .. and not just mathematical papers. i mean creative writing, like what i used to do. the math isn't going badly, but like anyone else, sometimes i just need time away from that stuff.
actually, i wrote
this recently, after meeting a writer at a bar.
i was minding my own business,
eating a burger,
not being a beautiful woman as usual ..
still, he just starts talking to me.
i don't know how serious this writing bug will get.
maybe it's just the extra synapses firing, now that i'm no longer occupied with writing lectures. once the summer is in full, slow swing, i'll probably be lazy again.
