So, my mother borrows my car today, and I say that she can because it's my day off. I figure, how long can she want it?
I also plan to grab a nice hot roast beef sandwich out for dinner because I have to work through dinner tomorrow*.
What do I find? Mom has taken it to the dog groomers (fine) to the vet with my grandmother's cat (fine) out to dinner (Why? She has her own car and only used mine because she didn't want to put dirty animals in it) and out to volunteer at the art house movie theater (again, WHY?).
*Then* she calls me and tells me she's keeping my car and staying at the movie theater until the rain stops because she doesn't feel like getting wet!
How long will she be out? Well, the movie is over at nine. You know. The same time all of the restaurants and drive throughs close. What about my dinner, the dinner of the person nicely loaning the car? Oh well, so?
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!
For those of you who might be wondering, no. My mother is not a sweet little old lady afraid of driving in the rain. She drives in far worse all the time.
*To clarify, this is not my idea of haute cuisine, or even better than what I myself cook, but it *is* a tasty dinner that I don't have to expend the effort of cooking.
