″I do believe it’s February the 14th.″ Fraser sat propped up in bed reading some new book about the Franklin expedition.
Ray took off his watch, putting it on the dresser before slipping under the covers and then sitting beside his partner. He pulled the sheet up over his lap before he prompted, ″And?″
Fraser put his book down, still open to the page he’d been reading. ″And what?″
″It’s February 14th, Fraser. Valentine’s day.″
Blue eyes widened slightly in surprise. ″So it is.″
Ray wasn’t sure if he was hearing right. Fraser surely couldn’t have forgotten what that date meant for most couples. Then again, maybe Fraser didn’t think guys did romance like straight couples. Ray was new to the whole gay thing. ″You guys surely have Valentine’s day, too, right?″
″You guys?″
″Canadians.″
"Ah, I see."
