(no subject)
Cursive has been on a pretty short break, a couple of days, but we start back up Monday in Kansas City. I have to admit, I can't wait for Monday to roll along - as Tim was touring with The Good Life before The Ugly Organ tour started, I had a bit of a vacation. I'm aching to get back onstage and play with the guys, because I've been without playing for a bit too long. I'm going through Cursive withdrawls, I guess you could say.
Tim and the boys are pretty much my best friends - I spend a hell of a lot of time around them, and we've all grown really close. It's nice having people like them around... fun-loving, passionate people who love producing music as much as I do.
I've always been somewhat of a tom-boy... instead of trading secrets with the girls in junior high, I was off in the fields, playing football with the boys. They all considered me one of them, and I would've much rather sat around discussing the World Series with Chris and Joe and Bob and whoever than going shopping at the mall, because, like, there are, like, so many cool, like, stores, and .. stuff. Ohmygod, LIKE, LOOK AT THAT SKIRT!
That's totally not me. But, even if that wasn't the case, Tim, Matt, and the rest of the Cursive gang all make me feel really welcome and comfortable... it's nice. Some of the best times of my life were spent in the company of these guys. I won't go into them, but .. yeah.
And that's my long, deep entry for the moment.
