w00t!
Ok, so an update of the current awesomeness that is life: I have just watched Rent on DVD, which always puts me in a good mood, and then in the midst of watching the deleted scenes (which are AWESOME, by the way), the National Journalism Center called and told me I got accepted as an intern for the summer!! How totally awesome and amazing is that!?!?! PLUS I get a $500/month stipend that I didn't even think existed. TOTAL bonus. Downside, is that it's from May 22nd till August 4th, so I'll be down in DC for the majority of the summer, but I probably will be back to Ottawa either for 2 weeks in the beginning, or for 2 or 3 weeks at the end, depending on how things go down. I'm still SO excited, because this is like, the most amazing thing that I feel I could possibly put on my resume at this point. So YAY!!! :D I have totally forgotten about the ridiculousness that will be me absolutely failing my music theory exam tomorrow and that's awesome, cause I definitely don't care at all anymore, cause I'm just so happy!! I kinda need to take the excitement down a notch though cause I don't want to appear smug and I already think my hallmates might be slightly annoyed with the level of enthusiasm this has brought me. But YAYYY!!! And then Friday night I head for Panama City Beach, Florida for BIG BREAK with Campus Crusade!!! AND the icing on top of the cake?? Three of my classes got cancelled this week. Forget my stupid music theory exam and forget my stupid academic journal and my honors seminar writing seminar! This is an awesome turn of events!!! God is kind of totally awesome. :D
