Good and Bad things about my birthday...
Good:
- Only two classes in the morning so I was free to enjoy the rest of the day however I damn well pleased.
Bad:
- It rained ALLLLLLLLLLLLL day. So previous plans of finding some sort of forest or countryside suitable for exploring had to be nixed.
Good:
- Rain is a perfectly acceptable excuse for staying inside and sitting on your ass all day watching movies. And John lent us his lap top so we could do just that.
Bad:
- Even after having braved torrential downpours to get there, the video store man refused to rent Steve and I movies the same day that we signed up for a membership. (even though I clearly remember having previously done so with Jessica)
Good:
- The obliging video store man did still sell us chocolate. And John had movies already downloaded on his lap top so I got to pick from a wide variety of boy movies. Also, being completely soaked from inappropriately dressing to walk in the rain provides a completely justifiable reason for changing into pajamas at 4 in the afternoon.
Bad:
- Batman Begins is a very long movie and we missed dinner. :(
Good:
- Dinner is usually shit anyway and I was too full of chocolate to really be bothered, plus it made getting drunk that much cheaper.
Bad:
- Live band night at mojo's. Consisting of angry punk rockers who can't sing a note so they just scream the whole time making it impossible to carry a conversation.
Good:
- Good excuse for going back to the Swan where my drink of choice for the evening is 40p cheaper.
Bad:
- This led to more drinks.
Good:
- Last call is super early at the Swan so I was cut off early.
Bad:
- Most of my friends left after last call.
Good:
- This afforded me the opportunity to beat Rich with my umbrella before heading out to get some food.
Bad:
- Steve was in a pissy mood after missing dinner and didn't feel the need to wait around while harmless umbrella fights came to their natural conclusion and left to get PFK (perfect fried chicken - bleh!) before the rest of us. Men.
Good:
- Who needs steve anyway. Jess bought me my late night snack. Thanks Jess!
Bad:
- It was PFK.
Good:
- Back home to bed. Jumping in puddles all along the way.
Bad:
- All wet from puddles, my bed wasn't made.
Good:
- PJ's and sleep.
Bad:
- Waking up and running to the bathroom where I stayed for the next hour. ew.
Good:
-Going back to my room and sleeping.
Bad:
- Missing classes the next day and the fact that it is no longer my birthday.
Good:
- Checking my e-mails and getting some from my friends who I love. Raseeka sent me a birthday e-card from the #1 place for muslims to meet on the internet! Sweet! Thanks Raseeka.
Bad:
- This entry is now over.
