Invasion of the barbie snatchers

This is particularly for the Australians on my flist. So there's this competition every week and two advertising agencies compete - their challenge is to sell the unsellable. This particular week: it's a face-off between two companies to try and convince Australians that they should invade NZ.

(I particularly like the second one - because it's so true. EEP. )

I went to see my Dad and my stepmother, and returned with a water-colour picture that my Dad had painted of Mt Grey. And also, a pineapple. I guess they had a spare one. I'm sitting here watching Season One of Supernatural again (Nightmare! Faith! THE BENDERS!) eating pineapple and wearing the "Royal Canadian Mounted Police" baseball cap that Tony brought me back from Vancouver, and feeling pretty spoiled, to be honest.

These activities are stopping me freaking out about the first stage-one lecture of the semester tomorrow. TAFS103: New Zealand Theatre and Performance. I actually must confess to liking teaching higher levels better, because stage-one classes are twice as big and are way less conversational. It's a fun course, potentially, and I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it when it's underway and I get to know the students. It's just hard standing up there at the first class and looking at a room full of strangers.

*eats more pineapple, watches Dean get Sam out of a cage, thinks dirty thoughts*

pineapple! oh my god how i love you, at least the exchange rate would improve, sam and dean make everything better, random, rl
