Winter, and there's not enough blood in my blood

It's completely freezing, hail, sleet, howling wind, rain in sheets! And although it's not atypical for May, it still comes as a surprise, because our autumn was so mild, it's like we've gone straight from Summer into the depths of winter. I have to admit, I like it. The cat is curled into a little round ball of orange fur by the heater, and it feels really safe to be at home while the world tears itself apart outside.

The deadline for BigBang drifted sadly past, like a Venetian gondola with no honeymooners. *GRIN* I'm celebrating that by using repulsive overblown metaphors. Actually, while I'm somewhat sad that my story is still too unformed and incomplete to be a full draft, I actually like what I have: I just think that something that long may be a bit overambitious for me at this stage. I'll keep at it, but it's in some ways for me an important story, and I think if I rushed it, I'd screw it up. I may be being precious and making excuses here, and I can't wait to read all the others. But I'm happy in many ways to have succumbed to the inevitable.

Also, I'm doing some work on other things, writing-wise. I've probably told some of you that I won

commedia, writing, bicycle? i'm not sure, winter, theatre, haemoglobin, bigbang, best cat in the world, rl, complete fucktards
