As Hoshi was packing her bags for spring break, it occurred to her that it had been a long time since she talked to Carmela. It seemed like a good time to take a break and give her a call.

Of course, Hoshi's timing had been rather off all week.

Right, so. Once she'd hung up after Ronan's call, Carmela and Eshrivash are in the process of getting back into things...

and the phone rings again.

"Hoshiiiiii," the other girl is far too sweet for her to snap at like she does with Ronan, but that doesn't stop a hint of a whine from creeping in to her voice.

"Hiiiii Carmela!" said Hoshi, oblivious to any sort of whining. "Oh my goodness, you will not believe the week I've had."

Carmela facepalms and makes an apologetic face, mouthing 'sorry' to Esh.

"Yeah? What happened?" she's pretty sure Hoshi's gonna tell her anyway, so the quicker that can happen, the quicker she can get back to... other things.

"They had a fire drill at 2 AM! Can you believe it? We all had to get up and head out into the cold until they shut the damn alarm off," grumbled Hoshi.
