the effects of ex-cyclone Pam
Mid March can bring a tropical storm or ex-cyclone from the pacific. this year we have Pam. I have decided to delay my northward travel back from WOMAD in NP last Friday. We're getting the edge of the weather. it is warm, blustery with drizzle, but otherwise ok. My lower back is seizing up which is causing me more hassle. hotpool soak helped, will have painkiller soon. I perhaps shouldn't have had gluten containing things over the last 2 days (good new café in Benneydale!). Oh well. At least i can rest now after a pretty sleepless few nights.
WOMAD last Friday was great. my ankle has been healing really well and i was able to stand and boogie a bit for over an hour during the Richard Thompson Electric Trio gig. Even gave in and got a CD signed afterwards cos the queue wasn't too long. I'm glad i was only doing one night at the fest as I was pretty knackered. The weather was stunning and the best I've ever had in Taranaki. Enjoyed sitting in the cool river watching the turquoise sea on Saturday morning. Wanted to stay on but felt I should travel north, just slower.
Met up with another Ingress player in Rotorua. Just passing through.
