Gecko hearding

Strange things you encounter while living in a treehouse in the rainforest:

- emptying a rubbish bin... tiny gecko jumps out and has to be corralled over to the wall so it can ascend. Otherwise there are Asian House Gecko's everywhere.

- chirping from unexpected places... gecko's, leaving guano like big birds.
- swimming in the pool at sundown... the only bit of exposed skin available to mozzie's... bitten on my face.
- admiring the rainforest... seeing blue flashes of Ullyses butterflies, then a Cassowary silently wanders into view!
- standing in the carpark... hear a rustle and 2 wallaby's hop down the track.
- hear cries in the night in the forest... those are Curlew.
- walk to carpark after dark... kick cane toads as they hop in all directions.
- rustles in the undergrowth... lovely skinks everywhere, catching moths
- lying peacefully in the hammock.. THUD!! Falling coconuts
Not to mention the green trees ants, the frogs and various insects that sing the song of the forest at night. It's lovely.
