A rather cool thing:

I went to early vote (in Tennessee) this afternoon. Last time I went to vote, there were almost no lines, but this time the line was long and took about 20 minutes. It was probably an artifact of the particular polling place but it was very, very clearly a democratic crowd. "Time for a change" was something I heard a number of times, as was considerable grumping about the current administration. I looked up the early voting info and over half a million people have done early voting (about 3.7 million registered voters) and the early voting period's only half over. All states should have early voting.

On the other side of things, Shelby County's using the damn Diebold machines that have been dissed in CA. so I just hope my vote actually counted.
