Gas strike silliness!
Presumably most of the folks reading this have ignored today's misguided "Gas Strike" nonsense, but I couldn't resist posting this on the facebook "Gas Strike!" page:
This didn't have any effect before and it won't this time either. If you really want to "stand up to them" and not just delay a tiny amount of profits for a whopping one day, do something real in the longer term.
(1) Next time you buy a car, buy a gas efficient one.
(2) Drive less and walk or bike more.
(3) Weatherproof your house so it uses less oil/gas/etc. This has an indirect effect even if you don't use oil heat.
(4) Encourage your Senators and Congress to support alternative energy research and development.
All of these actions fix a gaping hole in our national security in addition to helping your pocket book!
