I went up to Portland for my brother's wedding a little while ago. The wedding was beautiful, and so was Oregon.
Also, while there, there was a crack on the windshield of the rented Subaru, so they swapped it out for a new Mustang (and suddenly I didn't mind doing all the driving).
Suzanne's birthday was last weekend, and I threw another big surprise party thing like last year. Eventually, these things are going to stop fooling her. ("Honest honey, just a couple friends at the house this year, really!")
A tree fell in our yard yesterday morning. In to our yard, anyway - it was our neighbors' tree. Not the best circumstances to meet the new neighbors, but they seem like nice folks and it didn't fall on anything important. Worst case scenario, we'll probably just cut it up and roll it in to the wild growth back there. I should really post a picture of the pile of cinder blocks it fell on - they're impressively smashed up!
