So, I'm watching BBC America for the elections returns. They've had world news on all night watching our election.

It's super bizarre coverage. Mostly because they are so far out of the Hollywood glitz party show that the cable news networks buy and sell in order to amp everything up. The BBC presentation is more chill and less screamy.

I think that may explain some voter apathy, really. People get so exhausted from the screaming for months on tv, that by the time the actual vote comes around, they can't be fucked to go out.
Who knows.

But the BBC anchors are all commenting mostly on the spectacle of the event, in addition to the politics.

One Anchor: "It's like a Victorian novel where it just all keeps going and going on. How much longer can we go on?"

They seems shocked that Obama is doing well, "in the North where its so white." I find that faintly amusing for some reason. Their breakdown of racial voters and politics is somewhat bizarre also. Like 85% right, or something.

The picture they have of McCain looks like he's making a goldfish-face.

More coverage on how everyone is hoarse. How is this news? This was all over the internets today also. Why can't they "break" the hoarse story with: BREAKING NEWS!!! WE ARE TALKING OURSELVES TO DEATH! WE CAN'T STOP COMMENTING ON HOW GOD DAMNED INTERESTING THIS IS AND NOW WE ALL SOUND LIKE SMOKERS. Yeah. Yoinks.

California, California, Everyone loves California.

Ok, I'm having culture shock.
