(no subject)
Well, here it is, Saturday, and I'm at work. What's wrong with that picture? Oh yeah...I'M AT WORK! On the up side, it's slow, which gives me time to kick back, munch some cashews (my fav nut), DL some eps of Computer Chronicles and update my LJ.
I guess I should start with yesterday: Since I'm working today, I was off Friday. Naturally, I stayed up late Thursday 'til 1am chatting it up on #dementia. To ensure I got a good nights sleep (remember my last entry?), I took a swig of Nyquil. Gawd, that's great stuff when your sick, although I always have to psych myself up to drink it because of the taste. I slept straight through the night, which is unusual for me anymore. At around 10:30 I got up. I probably could've slept longer, but I didn't want to feel draggy the rest of the day.
I didn't have anything really planed for the day. I would've liked to ride up to Wal-Mart, but the rain killed that idea real quick. So I watched a few shows I taped and worked on my 'puter. Not exactly your edge-of-your-seat kind a day, but I didn't mind. What bummed me out most was not being able to read for TWIAR (This Week in Amateur Radio). See, the Producer emails a bunch of stories to record and when I'm done, I send them back to him and he assembles them, along with items from other people, into a coherent 90-min. show that get's aired via C-band satalite, anateur radio and over the Net. So I'm heard world-wide on a weekly basis. This makes the second week in a row I missed a show; last week was because of my cold.
Which brings us 'round to today. As I mentioned earlier, not much happening. Answering calls, assisting walk-ins, that kind of stuff. My main duty is proctoring COMPASS tests, but today I've only had one person...sor far. I'm sure now that I've said that a mob'll show up.
