If I take an axe and start chopping up family members, it'll not be an unforeseen event, I tell you. Nothing sends someone up the wall like parents or family members that fight over a frigging ~word~. It makes me especially batty at night, but I am especially batty and rambly at night.

Christmas was pretty low key here. Then again, I'd say "completely uneventful". We do the whole Hanukkah thing mostly anyway, so Christmas was just another five minutes of the week where we lit candles and opened a present or two. It's a relief that I don't have to stress out about it so much, although it's also kind of a disappointment.

The day after Christmas day though most of us sat ourselves down and watched some Dead Like Me to escape the endless 'afterchristmas TV' that was going on. It was nice to watch that series again, it seems to have something new every time I watch it.

I got my paycheck a little dern late, and I've only started Christmas shopping for nonfamily members. (hasfartogo, I need your mailing address! >.<) I'm not getting anything fancy for people, partly because the roof of Hastings (the better book/movie/cd/game store in town) caved in overnight. Now every store in Flagstaff has been closed until they clean off their roofs.

That being said, I'll pick up a few small things for people, and send away a few of my own things I'm not too attached to (I can always pick up some of them when things open again).

Living in Flagstaff feels really insulated. There's no gaming stores (the closest thing is a pawn/book shop), there's very little going on, and it's small and cold up here. It feels like I've been in a dream, especially the last couple months. It's rather eerie, in some inexplicable way. I really need to get something worthwhile on my resume and portfolio so I can move... mostly though, it's boring up here. I've been doing some kinda poor sketches to pass time; it doesn't feel right somehow to play all the games or watch all the movies I've had sitting around for a time like this. Go figure.
