Pretty sure it was time for another crush anyway :)
I spend rather more time than healthy with Google Image search these days. Can't even remember what I was looking for now, but suddenly found a picture that turned on a little light-up sign in my head: Des
[for those of you not in the know, he's one of the main characters in my OF, who's lived in my head since '94ish, and on the page for a little less time.]
Now, beyond a basic description (tall, long-haired, grey eyes) I've tried to avoid over-describing him in writing 'cos what's one person's image isn't another, and the 'look' of Des is very important to me after all these years.
Also, the photo I found turned out to be of a fairly successful male model, and there a LOT of pics of him. Sadly, in most of them he looks what can only be described as 'model gormless' i.e. slack-jawed, unsmiling and sort of peering from under his eyebrows. Not a great look, and certainly something I've never 'seen' in Des.
There are other differences, of course. Model man's mouth is fuller, he's an inch or so shorter than D, and his hair's a lot darker - D's hair is light brown. *shrugs*
So I've put together a little reference pic spam of the photos I think best represent the image I have of Des (minus the tattoos, since he's supposed to be a mature-looking 16 when my story begins) - the model in question has become more lantern jawed in recent years, more tattooed and shorter haired, which is a BAD THING in G'ori Land, but I'll forgive him this once, because he's never met me and therefore doesn't understand the travesty of the cut.
[I've liked long hair on men - certain men who suit it, anyway - since I was about eight or nine when I first saw a stage magician with hair right down his back and F.E.L.L. Also, Michael Praed c. 1985]
Model guy is 27ish, 6'1", 38" chest, 32" waist and from New Zealand (North Island). I'll stick his name under the cut, just in case anyone doesn't want an altered mental picture ;DDD
