Sooooooooooo busy. Soooooooo little achieved!

Hey hey,

Summer happened, I think (or at least I have a washing basket of apples next to me from our tree, so, um, I suppose it happened.) There were kids everywhere (our two take up a lot of space, apparently) and Bloke had ten days off as a holiday within the entire six weeks. Now the kids are back at school, he's trying to fit in all his holidays before end of September. Annoying, much?! Anyhew.

The Boy turned eight. EIGHT! I am the mother of an eight year old!! Hahaha! Little R turns four next week, funtimes no doubt with weirdly sexist presents from my sister, as last year. I need to have that 'let's just do Christmas presents' conversation with her. She has five kids, and not only do I resent buying them things, she drives me mad with her 'girl choices'. That and the fact I found out on Sunday she sells all the outgrown clothes I give her free on Ebay. It's not the money - most of the things were bought for me by Mum, or given by kind people, it's the fact she's getting any money at all rather than passing them on. BTW, I'm the atheist, she's the Christian. Anyhew.

(Little R's newly outgrown clothes may well go to the charity from now on, rather than my sister.)

Our annual holiday went off beautifully (Morecambe/Lancashire again) and we met up with BOTH ladywillin AND msb66 and Mr. MSB. This was despite the best efforts of our cat, Della, who protested against going to the cattery by escaping her cat carrier and leading us a merry dance all round our garden and next door's (the empty property) the minute we were due to leave. Didn't think I'd start the holiday, in tears, sitting on next door's drive!! But we got there, our lovely LJ friends waited for us, and we had a very pleasant time catching up. Then on to holiday and a well spent seven days of kind weather and happy times. The Boy swam in the sea (first time) and Little R did her best Anthony Gormley sculpture impression, up to her neck in the waves :D Morecambe Bay has a great beach for young ones - gentle sloping sand so you can go along way out without any sudden drops.

So the briefest of catch-ups later... and I have a question for you, but I'll put it next post.

Laters!

think that just about covers it, busy until at least 2026, holiday, family
