Nope, me neither!
I have been here, honest; commenting here and there, or just cheekily reading and enjoying your news/jokes/fabulousness and slinking away again.
Sadly (and it does make me very sad) I have not yet succeeded in creating the 40 hour day, and as efficient and smooth (hahahahahahahaha-yeah, right - hahahahharrrr) an art as I have got motherhood down to, I just can't fit it all in.
Also, since last Weds, the Boy has been ill. He was off nursery Thurs and Fri, and was still being sick yesterday, though between bouts, he's almost been his usual self. Little R joined in (she loves him THAT much!) on Thursday, aiming to be gloriously, volumously sick just after Mother-in-law-unto-herself had left and an hour before Bloke got home. Such timing.
M-I-L-U-H was a pain in the neck that day anyway (I swear she's getting worse as her partner is getting much better in recovery from his op) and keeps trying to 'sort out the garden' for us. In reality, this means replacing wood bark with compost (presumably to hasten and improve weed growth, since we don't have anything planted in that patch), and buying bedding plants that need attention for currently easy-to-manage non-beds.
Percy Thrower would not have been impressed with our garden (remember him, Blue Peter fans?) but it is fabulous at the back, in that everything grows in the spring/summer and then can be hacked back willy-nilly come autumn. And that folks, is HOW WE LIKE IT.
So, in between running for sick buckets and cooking/cleaning/tidying, remembering to eat/get dressed/sleep, and fending off G's intentions/Bloke's moods/my relatives of various oddness, I'm bloody shattered. Oh, and somewhere in that lot, I've been doing some writing \o/
(No, I've no idea how I fitted in the latter either, but if the Boy hurries up and recovers, there may be some more Blood Rising before the year anniversary of the last posted chapter!!)
Last but not least, you guys are The Best (and funniest, and strongest, and fabbiest) and I'd be chewing the wallpaper if it wasn't for you.
*GROUP HUG*
EDIT: I haven't left the house/garden since Tuesday, and the last time I actually went anywhere other than nursery (five mins walk up the road) was a week ago yesterday. Hence this rather inward looking post, apologies.
