"Moreover, even as scientists still debate how much human activity impacts the environment, we can all agree that alternative energy sources will be good for the planet."
Rising to a New Generation of Global Challenges
Mit Romney
Foreign Affairs, July-August 2007 (Vol 86, No 4)

Yeah, that's Mit Romney pretty much saying that although scientists don't know if Global Warming is true, we'd better put money in it because it's good for us. You may state this is no big deal but think about it...

This is a Republican prospect for President stating unequivocally that we need to spend money on "alternative energy sources" to protect the environment. That is as close as you will ever hear to 'if we don't fix it, we're all dead'

Foreign Affairs is running a multi-part segment on America's Next Foreign Policy. Each issue covers two candidates (thus far) with July/August 2007 covering Barack Obama and Mit Romney (both covering a broad base of policies without becoming too obsessed) and September/October covering Rudy Giuliani and John Edwards (the first dwelling solely on Terrorists and the second broad-based but flat in delivery.)

If you have a chance - even if you could care less - you SHOULD read these. And if you are on my friends list, I'm not asking - I'm telling.
