I'm sick
I have been feeling terrible on and off for the past couple of months. Usually 7-10 days of feeling horrible followed by a good couple of weeks where I felt fine. I didn't go to doctor until last week because...well... doctors tell you things like you need to eat well and exercise. But I couldn't avoid it any longer so I went last Tuesday. It wasn't much of a surprise to find out that I have high blood pressure. I have taken my BP on those pharmacy thing- a- ma -jig machines and it was usually high. Then recently a cousins' wife, who is an RN, took it and it was high. So the doctor prescribed a med which I started taking that same day. He also ordered a battery of blood tests and the result of one particular test showed that my liver enzymes are "slightly high". He then ordered a Ultrasound test which I took on Wednesday. This morning a nurse at the doctor's office called with the results and my gall bladder is not "functioning properly"and she set up an appointment for me with a surgeon. I have to see him on Monday afternoon but from what the nurse told me it's almost a certainty that my gall bladder will need to be removed. Oh Joy!! At least I now know why I have been feeling so raunchy. And, of course, things could be a whole lot worse. Between my being sick and a sick computer (I'm about ready to junk it) I haven't been online much the past month or so. Hopefully after the surgery I'll start feeling better and get back to my normal routine. I've GOT TO feel better by June 1st because I am going to Vegas even if it's on a hospital bed!!
