I happened upon a WSJ article describing how
the recession has made it difficult for young adults in Europe to find work. The article also notes that our unemployment numbers for persons 25 and under is nearly 20%, approaching the numbers of several European countries. I am not surprised to hear this, having read of widespread joblessness in the
CollegeConfidential engineering forum, despite the claims that "we don't have enough engineers" and "we can't find anyone qualified to do engineering work" in the US.
The article mentions a German TV video of a young Finnish woman who is struggling to find work. I believe I have found it:

The great irony here is that Finland supposedly has one of the best educational systems in Europe.
