(no subject)
So Mum's here! Got her settled in and everything yesterday, she insisted on cooking dinner for us, so she did. Said she misses Chiswick, but she's glad that she isn't in the house all the time now. And you know what? She deserves to live in Richmond with me. She's my mum and I love her so much and I'm eternally grateful to her for being so wonderful to me that I had to pay her back. Her and Father never were comfortable with me buying them a house back in the day and always refused when I offered, but now with Father gone, she was feeling awfully lonely. My poor mother...I'm so happy she's here now. She gave me a kiss goodnight last night, like I was a child again. I found that very sweet.
I now have my father's clarinet. I know I said I wouldn't play it, but I gave in before and did. Holy shit, what a beautiful, clear sound! Then again it is a professional wooden model, so it should sound like that heh.
I have been cordially invited to watch Pete, Jerry, and Rachel perform at the Poetry Olympics. Most likely doing the "I'm getting revenge on Mick!" song. I seriously think Karen should cut a duet with Jerry on that. I brought that up to her the other day and she just laughed. "You'd never get me up onstage, even it was with Jerry!" Well at least she found it humourous heh.
I'm still stuck on what to get Mags!
