RIP fishies
This morning we woke up to the stench of death. I was still snoozing when LdyDragon decided to feed the little fishies, only to discover that the water was murky and an unescapable smell of death came from the tank.
Apparently the pump of our filtering system had stopped working and we hadn't noticed (we were gone most of the day yesterday). Due to oxygen starvation half the fish snails and shrimp had died. This bloody hot weather we've experienced the last couple of days has been bad enough for them. The pump failing was just the final straw.
Now the Eco-system is shot to shit. We're trying to salvage as much as we can but right now I don't have much hope. Losing your fish is never fun but now with me sitting in the horrid stench really tops the bill.
