"Up from the depths... thirty stories high...."
Had a nice weekend.
Took the kids to the races on Thursday night (family night admission 8 bucks, can't beat it with a big stick.)
I'm seriously considering driving in one of those races, it looks like a blast. Kevin is all for it, said he'd set me up a car and everything. It would be an excellent way to work off some frustrations.
(put that on the list of things to do before I'm 40)
We went out on an actual date Friday night, played pool, played darts, drank shots, contemplated sex in the backseat, decided we're too damned old for that shit.
Took a taxi home. Slept until 9 on Saturday (and trust me, that's late for me!)
Saturday we went to a family reunion/going away party for Kevin's cousin. She's going back in the airforce. It was one of those situations where everyone was so concerned and worried about her, but in actuality we found out that she's being stationed in Las Vegas.... What do you say?... oh wow, stay safe, watch out for falling dice??
The way they made it sound she was climbing on a plane for Baghdad the next day. Anyway,
it was a nice day, had to answer the obligatory million and a half questions about Konnor, I feel like writing one of those obnoxious family newsletters detailing everything so I don't have to repeat it at every family gathering.
Gawd I feel like a major whiner lol.
All of Kevin's family from Mass was up, it was good to see them, they were all saying how we should move down there. ... Hmm where have I heard that before???
Kevin Jr didn't do his usual depressed teenager routine he was great and everyone loved him (as usual, he's a great kid) He even got a job offer. One of Kevins cousin's wants him to draw an Anime/ Manga warrior for his car. He has one of those "Fast and Furious" rice rocket things. So Kevin is sort of freaking himself out over it, he'll be fine and I'm sure it'll look great.
I'll see about posting some of his work, I'm not sure how but I'll figure it out.
