[RL with Lavi] [Backdated to 11/06]

Envy waited at the appointed meeting place, a little French Inn somewhere in the countryside. Wanting to play up his feminine attributes a bit, the Homunculus decided to go for something a bit more revealing than he had originally planned. If Lavi wanted to see him in something backless... well, Envy certainly wasn't going to disappoint!

So he ( Read more... )

Fortunately making the reservations was the first thing on Lavi’s agenda when he and Envy had gone their separate ways giving him plenty of time to take care of his wounds and sort through his wardrobe in the process. The Exorcist had promised to be a little unorthodox, but for some reason he was more interested in what his date was going to wear for the evening. The mischievous look the redhead had been left with was definitely promising something ( ... )

The Homunculus squealed in surprise, caught completely unawares by his expected date. He whirled around, both braid and scarf snapping to one side, as his fist flew toward his assailant's face. Fortunately, Envy had the wherewithal to stop mere centimeters from Lavi's nose.

He held that position for a moment before lowering his fist, brows creasing together in a look of annoyance. "Shit, Lavi! Don't sneak up on me! You wanna end up with a broken nose or something?!"

Dammit! If Envy had used his full strength, the Exorcist would have ended up with more than a broken nose...

Lavi was avtually pretty good at catching movement with his eye, he was even better at catching movement with both eyes so he was ready to move out of the way at the very last second if that hand threatened to connect with his nose. Lavi was already tilting his head out of the way just as his companion’s fist stopped right in front of his face.

“Don’t worry Envy, I saw it comin’…one of these days I gotta show you something really cool,” Lavi said with a laid back grin on his face, he leaned forward and pressed his lips to the Homunculus’s wrinkled brow, “I see everything…”

Lavi wound one arm around his companion’s waist before guiding him towards the Inn. They were the most uniquely dressed couple, but Lavi couldn’t care less he thought Envy looked great, “ah…by the way…you look incredible, Envy!”

That kiss, and the statement along with it, caused Envy to blush. The crease between his brows softened and he looked away. The Homunculus was pretty sure that Lavi's eyes operated the same way that Wrath's Ultimate Eye did now.

Leaning against the Bookman, Envy allowed himself to be led towards the inn. It was a bit chilly, but the Homunculus was only distantly aware of that fact. Extreme temperatures were only a mild discomfort for someone with a body like Envy's... and besides, Lavi was quite warm.

He glanced up when Lavi spoke again. "Eh...? Oh, um... thanks." A faint blush rose to his cheeks, despite the fact that he was expected such a compliment! "You look good, too!"

A playful grin broke out on Envy's face. With one slender hand, he reached up and tugged the brim of Lavi's hat down over his eyes. "Lose the hat, though. It doesn't go with the rest of your ensemble."

Envy did like the hat, though. He just wanted to see more of Lavi's face, that's all...

With both of his eyes Lavi could do all but see into the future, he did have tremendous clarity and his ability to memorize even the finest details and commit them to memory was superior. He tended to have an excellent grasp of his surroundings and this gave him an edge in battle, that’s why he could effectively fight without having to see anything. If he could get a glance of his surrounding and his enemies he could fight them with his other senses ( ... )

Envy stared at the menu, contemplating his choices. While he did want the experience of a full course meal, the Homunculus was really only interested in satisfying his insatiable sweet tooth. It's not as though he needed to eat, anyway. His body could sustain itself without any nutritional intake: eating was simply a pleasure to be indulged. Besides, the food here looked rather pricey, and Lavi was pretty much a peasant ( ... )

Lavi had actually come prepared to pay for a full course meal, but he knew Envy a little better than that and when it came to having the entire meal or skipping straight to dessert the Homunculus would choose dessert. The Exorcist didn’t want to be left shorthanded, however, not one to let his simple wages stop him from having a complete evening. So as Envy scanned the menu Lavi watched him with a contented look on his face, prepared for just about anything. He figured Envy was trying to worry him though so he went along with it until it was decided that his companion wanted to skip the meal and order dessert, “Ahh…you’re so unpredictable sometimes…but it’s good to keep things interesting…so desserts then ( ... )

It was all Envy could do not to laugh out loud. The maître d’ looked as though he would enjoy hitting Lavi over the head with a frying pan. But they were paying customers, after all, so it was their right and privilege to annoy the hired help if they wanted ( ... )

Lavi watched Envy’s more passive approach to irritating the maître d’ with a fond smirk on his face. It was fun to see someone else with a sense of humor and mischief that was a rival for his own, it was tough carrying the weight from his practical jokes. Now it was more fun having someone else to share the load with and it took some of the awkward out of it. Not that the Exorcist ever felt awkward, but he didn’t feel like the only one with a sense of humor and that was always a plus.

Once the maître d’ had turned on his heel and walked stiffly back towards the kitchen Lavi leaned back in his chair and surveyed Envy with a pleasant expression on his face, “I guess I am a peasant…but breadpudding is really good…and hearty and it’s served warm…I’ll probably order a few rounds…it should keep our friend on his toes. Oh...I also ordered a room here too...I wasn't sure if you had any other plans after dinner, but it wouldn't be so bad spending the night here. We'd get to spend a little time together.”

“It’s okay, I’ll order a few portions and it’ll be a meal…there’s also rum in the sauce which is a plus for me,” not that Lavi was a heavy drinker or anything, but he enjoyed the luxury every now and then ( ... )

Once again, the sudden compliment brought a blush to the Homunculus's cheeks. He glanced to one side, unable to meet the Bookman's eyes, and tucked his hands against his lap ( ... )

The subtle curves didn’t go unnoticed or unappreciated by the Exorcist who was perpetually confused after a certain drunken encounter he had no intention of mentioning to Envy. Not. Ever. Still, he started liking Envy when he thought the other was a boy and not androgynous, but before that he hit on anything in a skirt and with a cute face. It was a perplexing situation, but he was content with the idea that Envy was Envy no matter what form he took. In fact the redhead was fortunate that the Homunculus could change into whatever form he desired as it would certainly keep things interesting…and all guys had that harem dream. He was a little worried about his own limited form, he couldn’t be everything Envy wanted, he was stuck like this and it was part of the reason he would always prefer the form that Envy favored most…because of his own limitations. This would not stop Lavi from indulging in any form he was permitted, male or female…a fact made apparent by his careful, on the fly observations ( ... )

The feeling of leather rasping against his bare leg gave Envy pause for a moment. A slow, catlike grin spread itself across Envy's face.

Without missing a beat, he spooned up some gelato and slipped it into his mouth, letting it linger for longer than was strictly necessary before pulling it free with a little twirl. His tongue flicked out to lick a bit of cream that was clinging to his lower lip.

"Would you like a little taste?" Envy asked, spooning up some more gelato. He leaned over the table, offering the morsel to Lavi. The position caused the fabric over Envy's breasts to grow taut, and only served to emphasize the Homunculus's feminine curves. "And I'm not just talking about the dessert~♥"

He wondered if the Bookman would even manage to finish his breadpudding before he started hinting that they should go back to the room. Not that Envy would mind such a prospect. After all, patience was not one of the Homunculus's better virtues. And while he could never pass up an opportunity to tease Lavi, it also meant delaying his own ( ... )

By this point Lavi was tempted to just bang his head against a wall, quit the whole gentlemanly routine and demand they retreat to the room and spend an entire year there. Envy’s teasing was all too obvious to anyone who cared to pay attention and the redhead cared. Everything from the feline grin, to the way his companion ate his gelato and then leaning in with his spoon and the offering, not just a taste of his dessert, but a sample of Envy’s other goods. He was a very receptive participant of his companion’s flirtatious advances and his response was to lean in and wrap his mouth around the spoon, stalling briefly until the gelato melted and then he drew back swallowing. Lavi wore an uncharacteristically smoldering look in his eye as he settled back into his seat ( ... )

The look of desire in Lavi's eye was so heated, Envy thought the gelato would melt beneath that smoldering gaze. Normally the Bookman was so restrained... Envy was thoroughly enjoying the chance to see this side of him! After all, who doesn't enjoy feeling desirable?

The Homunculus took another bite of gelato as he tried to imagine what sort of things Lavi would do in the privacy of their room, his passions no longer fettered by gentlemanly behavior. It was cute, really, to watch the Bookman sitting there, trying so hard to be good! His expression seemed somewhat strained, like he was fighting the urge to just leap across the table and kiss Envy then and there!

"You know what?" Envy said, pulling the spoon from his mouth. "That sounds like a great idea! The ambiance really isn't to my liking, anyway." A bite of parfait this time. "I'd enjoy my dessert even more if it was just the two of us~♥"

Lavi could just forget about any card games. Unless it was strip poker, maybe. Then again, Envy wasn't much good at card games...
