[And the only obvious option for Lavi:

So, not really thinking about it he squats down and scoops envy up into the palm of his hand.]

Heeeeey...where's you come from...did you come in from outside...I'll bet you escaped from a Care of Magical Creatures lesson, huh? Good for you!

[Envy just squeaks in surprise. He curls into himself, wrapping his injured tail around him (the tip of which was burned by one of Prussia's stray spells.) He's too shocked to speak for the moment.]

[Scared and cute, Lavi certainly has some pretty strange tastes, but he's quick to take pity on Envy. Noting the burn on his tail Lavi removes his wand and points the tip of it at the burn.]

I might not be as good at this as some...but you're little so it shouldn't be a problem! This oughta fix that burn [Ohoho he's so optimistic] Episkey!

[And surprisingly, the wound heals up pretty nicely. There's a bit of a scar, but at least it doesn't hurt anymore!

But he's still a bit indignant that Lavi thinks of him as an animal...]

O-Oi, you! I ain't some dumb animal, got it? I'm a student! I just had the bad luck of getting hexxed, that's all!

[Oooh? It talks...in fact that's somewhat surprising...so surprising that Lavi almost drops Envy, but he manages to hold on top him.]

Ah...a student, eh? Well what should I do...take you to a teacher...but the hex should wear off eventually! Besides it'd be really embarrassing if the whole school found out so do you wanna stay with me?

[Envy squeaks again, clinging tightly to Lavi's fingers, tail curling around his wrist for extra support. He shoots a glare at the red-haired boy. He considers Lavi's words for a moment. Vanity wins out in the end. He can't bear to think of the humiliation he might suffer if the rest of the school found about about this little curse...]

Yeah, yeah. Sure. And you'd better not tell anyone about this, got it? I have a certain... image to maintain, if you know what I mean.

[Lavi just grin's down at Envy, it's pretty amusing how he clings to his hand for grim death. Just so Envy is safe he curls him up in his palm and holds him. Such a demanding little guy!]

Alright, I won't tell anyone so don't get your tail in a bind...I just have to figure out what to do with you. Guess you can sleep with me and I could get you some food from the kitchens...you'll have to come to practices with me and classes too. if I leave you in the dorm someone's gonna find you and...well it's Gryffindor, they'll end up using you as a Snitch.

[Oh god... This kid is treating him like some sort of pet! How humiliating! Still... it beats wandering around and possibly getting stepped on by some less scrupulous students. Better make the most of it.]

You'd better not let me get used as a Snitch! If anything bad happens to me, you can be sure that my mother will get you kicked out of school! [Feeling a little more confident, he wriggles a bit and pokes his head between Lavi's fingers. He points at the red-haired boy.] Now, I demand that you get me something to eat, right now!

[Fortunately for Envy, Lavi already has a little owl...a very little owl. So he has his own pet...but having one that can talk and not just nibble on his fingers is a nice change of pace. Yeah...sounds like a plan!]

Hmmm...well, if you do what I say you should be alright [Lavi doesn't seem too worried about the threat considering his father works for the school and all. He simply places Envy in his shirt pocket and gives him a little pat on the head] Yeah, yeah I have some pumpkin pasties, treacle tarts and butter beer upstairs that should take care of you for a little while.

[Bwuh! It's dark inside Lavi's pocket, but at least it's warm... Envy curls up and makes himself comfortable.]

Now, that's more like it! [Yup. Envy has an insatiable sweet tooth. It might not be chocolate parfait, but it'll do for the time being.] Now, chop-chop! And be careful not to jostle me around too much!

Bossy little guy ain't ya? You should show some gratitude, I could still take you to the girl's bathroom on the second floor and flush you down with Moaning Myrtle yanno [It is totally obvious by the way Lavi is laughing, however, that he isn't seriously going to do it despite contemplating it. Instead he heads up to the Gryffindor tower but pauses in front of the Fat Lady] Say, do you have ears?

[He's wriggling around furiously inside Lavi's pocket.] Oi, oi! You wouldn't hurt a cute, defenseless little animal, would you?! [Apparently, the leech also has no shame, either.]

Course I got ears... Why d'ya ask?

What...you're gonna play the animal card on me now, huh? Don't worry little guy, I won't do that unless you really do somethin' to piss me off [wink wink nudge nudge]

Ah well...if you are from another house you have to cover your ears...er...wherever they are...so you can't hear the password.
