Title: Borderline 1
Genre: Suspense.... it'll get more suspenseful, honest. I hope.
Word Ct: 646
A/N:  Obviously not a complete story. More to come, though I hope to meet this challenge by introducing a new character with each entry.

"Write what you know! Write what you know!" they said.
All right all ready. Here's something I know. ;o)

Oooo, intriguing!

You're going to keep writing on this, right?

P.S. Horribly selfish of me, but because I am enjoying reading your stuff again -- have you seen my posts about LJIdol? It's a writing competition -- sort of (we had one person doing songs last round -- there's no rule limiting what you can do as long as you can get it into an LJ entry). Most of us write things for it, both fiction and nonfiction, and it's a lot of fun. This is a short one, lasting about three to four months; all of the entries go into a poll and people vote for as many as they like. Then the bottom ones are eliminated and the rest have a new topic the next week. Typically it's three-four days to write and three-four to read, so each round lasts one week. The mini ones, unlike the longer full seasons, are donation-suggested but I will happily sponsor you. :) The one caveat is that it's fairly time-intensive right at the start because there's like 80-100 entries to read for the voting, but there's no penalty for not finishing them, and that number will drop quickly once we get going. If you're interested, just post an entry stating your intent to play and comment on the sign-up post with the link to your entry. And let me know! :) And no worries if you haven't time, I was just thinking you might enjoy it (and also wanting to read more of your writing). :)
