The Death Grip of the Determinedly Middlebrow

"Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

-Mark Twain, according to "The Official Web Site of Mark Twain," run by CMG Worldwide, "leader in intellectual property rights management" (newest client: Natalie Wood). Elsewhere on the site are found the inspiring words: "For more information or to inquire about marketing, merchandising and licensing Mark Twain, please fill out a business inquiry form or contact CMG Worldwide directly." Personally, Vincentine feels that if Twain did pen the above injunction, it was while on his deathbed, under the influence of a good deal of morphine. A nickel to the first person who can give her the exact source of this so-called quote.
