i am in tennessee for orientation
they are basically throwing money at us interns. they gave us an 80 dollar cash advance for any costs relating to our two traveling days, and today there were no costs, except a disgusting six dollar airport pizza. they also put is up in a four room suite. each one of us has our own huge room and bathroom. its not very fancy, but fancy enough. i am impressed. i feel well taken care of. they also are paying for all our meals and stuff while here at orientation and paid for transport to and from the airport.
i leave for hawaii from here on friday. all the other interns are girls and i really like all of them a lot. some are going to spain, japan, many to hawaii, cuba. but the ones going to cuba cant even leave the base!!! THE ENTIRE TIME!!! isn't that crazy!!!??? i am jealous of japan, but oahu and my specific field is definitely one of the best internships within this program. some interns are going to kauai, so we can visit each other. also, there are only 11 of us. i guess they were really selective this fall. i feel very lucky to be here.
