    Nothing's been recently so sublime as the second chapter of  the epilogue to The Brothers Karamazov, "For a Moment the Lie Becomes Truth". (Because shouldn't this be a general rule? The great and saving lies ought to, at some crucial point, become irrevokable truth, if only for a single conversation.)

I've had that written on a post-it and taped to my wall for years now, how odd. All lies have managed to become truth for me so far, if I focused on them long enough. For some reason, that kinda scares me.

I sent your letter the other day but it came back to me--insufficient postage for weight. I guess words are getting heavier--inflation?

sorry ha I took out the part about anna karenina when I remember that was tolstoy not dostoevsky... but yeah it's a very lovely and soothing book. I read parts of it when I feel especially crazy.
