Jumps! Tomorrow will be my last official day working in SGH Pathology Department. Looking back, time indeed flew by so fast. I first joined on 11 Feb this year immediately after completing my National Service. Well, this being my first full time job, I have no doubt learnt lots from all the seniors. I truly thank God for this tremendous opportunity of working in the life science field despite not have the appropriate education for it (I was trained as a Biomedical Engineer in Polytechnic). From someone whose hand shook badly while holding a pipette to deliver reagents to someone whose trained thoroughly to perform a number of serological test - I've certainly learnt what i didn't knew before.
It might come as a surprise to some of you that i actually perform tests on a lot of stools samples every working day. Yea it used to be frown upon but well, i have kinda gotten used to handling them in the Biological Safety Cabinet. To be able to see certain parts of the hospital thats restricted to the public was certainly intriguing.
I will certainly miss all my dear colleagues, who helped in making worklife interesting and enjoyable. I have waited for this day long enough and when tomorrow comes, it would be my last day. Yeap i'm certainly excited and thrilled, with maybe a hint of sadness.
Well its the end of a chapter for me, and the new chapter that awaits is so exiciting! To God be the glory!
work,
