Back around Christmas, my boss at the Apple store gave me a little bag of these really low-grade gray plastic animals to throw in packages we were shipping to fancy people. Why he thought that fancy people would particularly appreciate low-grade gray plastic animals remains a mystery, but I ended up keeping a bunch of them for the purposes of ( Read more... )

Yo, I know I haven't talked to you in ages, but I was scrolling through my friends list and saw "ghost cat". I totally remember that! I remember looking for that ghost cat and seeing it. Funny how these things happen.

I remember that rainbow Pacman hexagon thing, too! TJ and I both agree that the music sounds like Philip Glass. Who is probably pretty consistently on hallucinogens. And yes, the lyrics change to that song is lame. It probably coincided with the stupidification of Elmo.

I think that when you put a stat-counter in your livejournal, you know it's time to get a real blog. Join us, Emily, jooooin us...

I was booooooored!

And I've been considering it. But the concept of a "real blog" seems very silly to me, and this one has, like, seven years on it.

If you go get a real blog, will your writing have to become all crappy like most real blogs? You know, with randomly bolded words and that vague sense of self-irony and deprecation that doesn't mask your giant ego? And with every entry ending with some supposed-to-be-funny or deep wrap up line that isn't actually funny or deep at all, like, "And that is why I don't like llamas," or, "I guess today just isn't the day for us Yankees fans."

Ugh. Do not, do NOT go to the dark side. We love you right here on LJ. "Real" blog. Ugh ugh ugh.

Also, I agree with Erin and TJ about Philip Glass - that's actually what I was originally going to comment about. Oh, and I also wanted to ask you how you get those lines to go across your entries to separate sections. Handy.

Yeah, I thought that about Glass too... I love old Sesame Street.

And the lines are called horizontal rules, and you get them by going (this will be difficult, cuz html disappears carats)
