I'm settling in here a little. A desk has been cleared for me, home to my sewing machine and my desktop computer. This means my music is accessible again, especially good because I left my cell phone on top of the land cruiser when I was taking lumber off before work and it fell off in the middle of a highway of logging trucks: no more cell phone.

Giving yourself permission to feel angry is liberating, but also terrifying because of how much justifiable anger it is that we are expected to dismiss. The world expects us to accept humiliation, derogation, and scapegoating, as if it were a necessary part of existence instead of the result of being expected to exist in a class of something less than human. The backlog and the lack of ability to unsee make it daunting.
