Apparently the ICC are the body that does the fines - also, there would be a chance that they would be barred from playing for the season. The NZ team have not gone before, citing 'danger to their team', but to me that's just a weak way to stand up.

It's better than funnelling more money into the Iraq war invasion.
But yes, it's nice to see Howard going in to bat for causes he is interested in. Like cricket, and his brother's business obligations.
