Fuckers.
I like going to the game store each month to pick up my Dragon & my Dungeon magazines, just like some folks enjoy getting their fix of car mag, gossip mag or whatever....
Paizo Publishing & Wizards of the Coast have offically announced that they will not be reknewing their contract. Paizo will continue to publish 'adventure-style' magazines, that sound like they will be mini campaign style publications. Wizards have said that they will continue to release Dragon & Dungeon mag....... as on-line content.
FUCKERS!
I know that it's good for the environment, & that makes me chuffed! But it means that I'm going to have to pay via the new to get my gaming fix. Fuckers!
Yes, yes, I know, it's a trivial thing, but I'm sure that you've been pissed off about something that others would deem as trivial too, so this one is mine!
On other fronts...
It's now official, my (eternal!) struggle for knighthood within the SCA has come to an end. My doctor has decreed that the amount of healing in my wrist, after the operation, is not good enough. So, no more "repetative, concussive impacts" are to be engaged upon my right wrist. Not only that, but he is concerned about how badly the left one is getting & wants me in to get the chop again. So, from here on out, my SCA comnbat will be delegated to light - & rapier possibly.... Did I really say that?? *sigh*
Anyhoo...
Work is great. Back to TAFE wednesday week. Heading to Sydney on Teusday with Carol from work, to suss out a feew wholesalers & places. Carol even demanded that we stop for "lunch" at Eden Gardens. Which is cool, 'coz it's huge & I've yet to get down there!! So now I get to go instead of being at the nursey all day, AND get paid for the road-trip!
Yay team me!
I also whacked together two 'living sculptures' - basically a bunch of Bromeliads (plants that grow in the forks of other trees, but not parasitically is the short version), attached to a dead stup & dressed up in a nice pot with some bark or pebbles. It's not much, but since they've been in the store (two days now), we've had about 9 people ask about them & comment on how good they look!
Yay team me!
Mum is healing up after her savage bout of siatic nerve displacement due to a bulging disc. She came up yesterday & spent time with Phill, which was great - even though I was working. They apparently ahd a great lunch & chatted about everything - meaning that mum chatted Phill's ears off!
Now, some time this week I am going to post up some new pics of the garden. And maybe even some pics of my 'living sculptures' lol, what a dag I am!
Live life.
