Sometimes I worry about joining the Coast Guard to learn to fly helicopters. I mean, I owe them a lot of time after college. But then I realize that the average person spends 7 years watching tv. So, I think being an officer/pilot in the CG is time well spent. Besides, my brother said the marines wasn't so bad, you still have a normal life to yourself that you can do whatever you want with. Plus I get to do crazy shit with helicopters that people in civilian life couldn't even dream of doing. Not to mention that fact that this is the only service where I can fly and not worry about having to shoot people or be shot at.
