Places to live in Boston: the good, the bad, the strange, etc....
Sooooo....in the early stages of figuring out where to live in Boston. As I haven't been up there in the past 9 years, I'm sure there are areas that have changed, gone uphill / downhill, expanded, etc. Keeping this in mind, I'd welcome any advice, impressions, or musings on which areas are generally safe, which areas are very dangerous, which areas are astronomically expensive (I get the impression that Back Bay and Beacon Hill fall into that last category)....in any case, the more info, the better prepared I am. Much obliged!
