oh, the sadness!

Well, my car's about to become a "collector's item"...though I would prefer it didn't. :( As part of its cost-cutting effort for the bailout, Chrysler is discontinuing the PT Cruiser. IMHO, they might as well just close all their factories and go out of business right now. Who the hell buys their other models?? I don't know anyone who drives a ( Read more... )

Not that I'd ever own one, but I'm rather fond of the stocky styling of the 300. There's a moderate number of them on the roads here, but aside from that and the PT... yeah, not so much.

"Stocky styling" is a good description of the 300 - which I'll admit I don't hate, either. Don't know anyone who owns one, though.

*sigh* not that I'd want to cash in on that. Despite the problems I've had, I wanted my next car to be - another PT Cruiser! (maybe 10 years from now). I suspect now I'll just hang onto 'er forever...like one of those little old ladies that only drive their '57 Chevys to church on Sunday. ;)

I agree with you on that. The Czarina and I got a 2006 PT Cruiser last year, and the only repairs we've had so far came from when some hipster ran into it in an apartment parking lot a few months back. This is what happens when Chrysler hires the shithead who drove Home Depot into the ground while collecting nearly a quarter-billion dollars in severance: when that same genius decides that the one car that needs to be discontinued is the one that actually sells, it's time to shutter things and give up.

I didn't realize it was Home Depot loser who did this. Grrrrr...

Yup, shut 'em down. And arrest that man!

Arrest him, nuthin'. For this, flogging him naked through the streets of Seattle should be sufficient. So long as the march starts in Boston.
