Dad wandered into my room at 6:40 and said, "Maynard Ferguson is playing at MHS tonight. There are still some tickets available." Go to a concert alone? See a jazz legend? Hell yeah! I ran down to the school, bought a ticket, and was in line by 7. I'd seen his band play before, and what I remember most was the crazy drum solo. This time, same drummer. Insane solo? You bet. I love seeing Maynard. Fun show!
